CAMB AI Partners with the Maleku Community to Preserve Endangered Language through AI Innovation

CAMB AI proudly announces a groundbreaking collaboration with the Maleku people of Costa Rica and Canadore College to preserve the Maleku Jaika language using advanced AI-powered translation technology. The collaboration represents a significant step toward safeguarding global linguistic diversity.

The Maleku people, an Indigenous community numbering over 650 individuals, face the urgent threat of losing their native language, Maleku Jaika. Limited access to educational resources—such as books, teaching materials, and educators—has made it increasingly difficult to pass this linguistic heritage to future generations. 

The potential loss of Maleku Jaika would not only mean the disappearance of words but also the erosion of cultural identity and traditions preserved for centuries.

"Our language is the heart of our culture," shared Jessenia Vásquez Quesada, a member of the Maleku community. "Without it, we risk losing our connection to our ancestors and the essence of who we are."

In response to this critical need, CAMB AI has adapted its advanced AI-powered speech and translation tool to include Maleku Jaika. Our technology enables real-time translations and content dubbing into over 140 languages, making learning and teaching Maleku Jaika more accessible and effective. 

Providing resources that were previously unavailable, we aim to simplify the learning process and support the Maleku people in revitalizing their language.
