Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to prepare book manuscripts for audiobook production using cutting-edge AI technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English and Hindi language and one of these Indian languages (Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam), a passion for books, and a keen understanding of how to optimize scripts for AI voice synthesis. This role involves meticulous manuscript preparation, including adding description for visual elements and creating instructions for the voiceover steps to achieve the desired results.

Responsibilities:
- Review and adapt book manuscripts for accuracy, clarity, and suitability for audiobooks and AI voice synthesis.
- Optimize scripts for AI Narration:
- Identify and address potential challenges for AI: Rare words or names, Homophones that might confuse the AI.
- Adjust phrasing and punctuation: To improve AI voice clarity, naturalness and reduce the risk of errors.
- Create overarching pronunciation guides and character notes for assigned language
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers, voice designers, and producers to ensure the successful production of high-quality audiobooks.
- Stay updated on advancements in AI voice synthesis technology and its applications in audiobook production.
Qualifications:
- English and Hindi fluency
- Bachelor's degree in English, literature, or a related field (preferred)
- Strong editing and proofreading skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Passion for books and reading
- Experience with AI text-to-speech technologies (preferred)
- Understanding of natural language processing (NLP) concepts (a plus)
