Role Overview:
The Business Development and Sales Manager will play a key role in expanding our API/Technology offerings to global markets. You will own the sales lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to closing deals, while fostering strong client relationships. This role demands strategic acumen, technical understanding of APIs, and a passion for innovation in AI-powered solutions.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive API adoption globally.
Prospecting:
- Identify and engage potential clients through various channels, including digital outreach, industry events, and networking.
Sales Cycle Management:
- Oversee the complete sales cycle from initial contact and needs assessment to contract negotiation and closing deals.
Client Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target organizations.
Market Analysis:
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure alignment and support throughout the sales process.
Reporting:
- Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market insights.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in API or Technology sales and business development, with a proven track record of success in a startup environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in global markets and managing international sales efforts.
Technical Expertise:
- Comprehensive experience across the digital sales lifecycle, from prospecting and lead generation to contracting and closing.
- Previous roles at companies with APIs/Technology as core offerings is a must.
- Strong understanding of modern API channels and technologies.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
