Position Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented Localization Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end localization process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and excellent communication skills. Preference will be given to native Arabic and French speakers from West Africa region.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the client's projects, ensuring on-time delivery within budget
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, translation vendors, and freelance linguists across different time zones
- Develop and maintain translation style guides, glossaries, and terminology databases
- Oversee quality assurance processes for all delivery content
- Manage and optimize translation memory databases
- Create and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans
- Evaluate and implement new localization tools and technologies
- Generate regular reports on project status, quality metrics, and cost analysis
- Provide training and guidance to team members on localization best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, International Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in localization project management
- Proven track record of managing complex localization projects
- Strong knowledge of CAT tools and techniques
- Experience with content management systems and project management software
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Native Arabic and French speaker
- Knowledge of additional languages a plus
- Experience with machine translation and post-editing workflows
- Experience with localization automation tools
- Background in podcast localization
